ISLANDS OFF ATTICA, Aegina. Circa 456/45-431 BC. Stater (Silver, 19 mm, 12.29 g). Land tortoise with segmented shell. Rev. Incuse square with skew pattern. Milbank pl. 2, 12. SNG Copenhagen 516. SNG Delepierre 1836. Struck on a thick flan and in exceptionally high relief. The obverse die slightly worn, otherwise, about extremely fine.
